Lion K L Rajashekara, mjf, District Governor 2025-26, District 317G Melvin Jones Fellow Lion K.L. Rajashekara is a well known Lion hailing from one of the prestigious Clubs of our District, the Lions Club of Mandya.
Born to an illustrious family to Freedom Fighter Late Sri K. P. Lingaiah and Smt Kempamma, Lion K.L.Rajashekara is an Engineering Graduate in Electrical & Electronics from P.E.S College of Engineering, Mandya.
In 1998, he founded M/s DOT Computer Training Institute in Mandya and has been instrumental in providing training to over 15,000 students in Computer and other allied programs.
He joined the Lions movement in 2005 through Lions Club of Mandya City. He has served this Club as President and during his tenure, he was able to establish as many as 10 New Lions Clubs in the Mandya Region. In 2012, Lion K L Rajashekara initiated a new club, the Lions Club of Mandya and has served as the Charter Member. Through his continued efforts to strengthen the Lions Organization in the Mandya Region, he successfully initiated 12 New Clubs. In total, Lion K.L.Rajashekara is responsible for extending 25 New Clubs in the Mandya District, a record achievement in the district. Lion K.L.Rajashekara has also served as the GST Chairperson of unified District 317A. During this period, the highest number of Service Activities were recorded in My Lion App, setting an unbeaten record. As Second Vice District Governor (2023-24), he had the privilege of completing the Advanced Lions Leadership Institute (ALLI) Training Program in Jaipur in November 2023, significantly enhancing his leadership skills and knowledge. Furthermore, he has attended the Multiple level VDGs Schooling in Goa in January, 2024 and All India Schooling in Bangalore from May 2023, to further develop and refine his leadership abilities. Lion K.L.Rajashekara was elected as the Second Vice District Governor for the new District 317G during the 47th Annual Convention held on December 31, 2022. Subsequently, he was elected as the First Vice District Governor for District 317G during the 1st Annual District Convention held on April 7, 2024.
He is also the member of various Social and Cultural Clubs. To name a few, he is the President of Kreeda Bharathi Mandya, an active member of Channapatna Sports Club, Power Club Mysuru, and Director of Mandya Recreation Club, Mandya. He is a Life Member of Karnataka Bharathiya Red Cross Society, ISKCON and Bangalore Youth Hostel Association. He has also served as the Charter Secretary of Mandya District Chemists and Distributors Association.
Lion K L Rajashekara is happily married to Dr. Geetha M N, Senior Specialist in the Department of Paediatrics at Mandya Institute of Medical Science, Mandya. The couple is blessed with a son, K.R. Vinayak, Masters in Pharmacy, and a daughter, K.R. Anusha, pursuing Ph.D. in Horticulture at Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana.
